Event overview
The Pirate 5K & 10K takes place on April 18, 2026, at Loyd H Roland Memorial Park in Akron, PA (221 N 11th St, Akron, PA 17501). The event includes two race distances and is limited to a two-hour time limit for each race. Registration is required online through RunSignUp; there is no on-site registration.
Course, logistics and awards
The course is paved and laid out as an out-and-back route. The 5K covers the course twice and the 10K covers it four times. Bathrooms are located at the pavilion by the starting line. Packet pickup is available before the race and closes shortly before the race begins.
All finishers receive a themed finisher medal. A group photo is taken at the start of each race. Costumes are optional; a best-costume award is presented at the start. The race earns points toward the US Road Running Race Series and follows the series' awards and information structure. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
