The Bryan McCauley 5K

The event takes place at the Octorara High School Track in Atglen, Pennsylvania. It offers a 5K Run/Walk and a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk, as well as virtual participation options. The event focuses on mental health awareness for veterans. Proceeds are donated to Alpha Bravo Canine, an organization that provides service dogs to veterans with PTSD, TBI, and other combat-related disabilities.

The 5K course starts and ends on the track, following a trail around the school with small hills, grassy areas, and pavement. Participants may also choose to stay on the track for the entire distance. The one-mile fun run remains on the track.

Registration costs $50 for the 5K and $45 for the 1 Mile run if done in advance; day-of registration is $55 and $50, respectively. Registration opens at 8:00 AM and closes at 9:30 AM on the event day, with only cash and check accepted. Participants who register by March 20 receive a t-shirt and finisher's medal. Virtual participants can also order a t-shirt. Dogs are not permitted on school grounds, except for service dogs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
