1000 Mile BikeWalk for Prevention

The 1000 Mile BikeWalk for Prevention is a community event in Morristown, Tennessee on August 22, 2026 that accumulates participant distances toward a collective goal of 1000 miles. The event includes separate circuits and route types for different activities.

  • Biking circuit approximately 5 miles per loop on a semi closed course.
  • Walking and running circuit approximately 1 mile per loop on a semi closed course.
  • Kiddie sidewalk circuit approximately 0.5 mile around the Landing building.

Biking entries accept all bike types except balance bikes and training wheels. All riders must wear a helmet for the entire ride. The kiddie route requires helmets for children on bikes or riding toys, and small children must be accompanied by a responsible attendant. The walking route allows wheelchairs and scooters but does not permit pets.

Prizes will be awarded in several classifications for the greatest distance traveled during the multi hour event. Teams that raise funds independently receive bonus mileage tied to their donations made on or before event day.
