10Bay Challenge
The 10Bay Challenge returns in 2026, entering its fourth year. The event offers two distance options:
- Approximately 15 miles
- 4Bay 10k
The event is set on the beaches of Thanet in Kent with the event headquarters on Margate Main Sands. The route moves in and out of ten bays around the coast and takes place at low tide, including sections that are not passable at high tide. Runners pass through coastal stacks and arches while heading from Margate towards Ramsgate and then returning.
Underfoot surfaces vary along the route and include sand, promenade and cliff tops. There is a chill out area at the Event HQ on Margate Main Sands. Nearby amenities and attractions include seaside cafés and restaurants, Dreamland, Turner Contemporary and the Harbour Arm. A route map is provided for the course layout.
