About the race
Walk for Life + 5K is a community event on October 10, 2026 at the Opelika Sportsplex in Opelika, Alabama. The event is organized by Women’s Hope Medical Clinic and raises funds to support its local services and care.
There are multiple participation options and fee structures:
- 5K run with a standard registration fee of $30 and a late registration fee of $50.
- 5K walk with a registration fee of $10.
- 1 mile kids walk free for children 12 and under.
Registration opens August 10. The registration deadline to be guaranteed an event t-shirt is September 25. Late registration begins October 6 and increases the 5K fee to $50; late registration remains available until the morning of the event. Race day packet pickup and registration are available at the Sportsplex.
Logistics and race services include on-site parking at the Sportsplex, water and sports drink stations approximately every 1.5 miles, and award categories for 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall male and female in the 5K. Awards must be picked up at the event. Final official results will be posted within 48 hours after the race. Refunds are not allowed for this event.
