Event

The Chewacla Cha Cha is a trail race held at Chewacla State Park in Auburn, AL on Sunday, September 13, 2026. It is part of the Southern Singletrack Race series and benefits Valley Rescue Mission. The venue address is on Shell Toomer Parkway in Auburn. Registration closes on September 9, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET, with limited race-day registration if available. There is a $4.00 park day use fee per person not included in race registration.

Race details

The event offers the following distances:

  • 5K - One scenic loop
  • 10K - Two loops

The course uses singletrack trails with rolling terrain and gentle elevation changes. Starts are held in staggered waves. Entry fees before August 22, 2026 are $55 for the 5K and $65 for the 10K; after that date fees are $70 for the 5K and $80 for the 10K. The guaranteed T-shirt size cutoff is August 31, 2026. No transfers, refunds, or deferments are allowed.

There is one on-course aid station and one finish-line station. Stations provide water, CeraSport, and individually wrapped snacks such as pretzels, chips, fruit chews, and candy. Runners are advised to bring a water bottle. Organizers reserve the right to remove runners from the course for signs of dehydration or distress.
