Course Overview

The Chewacla Cha Cha is a trail race at Chewacla State Park in Auburn, Alabama. The course uses the park's singletrack trails. It is part of the Southern Singletrack Race series. There are two distances: a 5K and a 10K. The 10K race is two loops of the 5K course. There are staggered wave starts for both distances.

Registration & Race Details

Registration fees are $55 for the 5K and $65 for the 10K. After August 22, 2026, the fees increase to $70 for the 5K and $80 for the 10K. A guaranteed race shirt size is available until August 31, 2026. A $4 day-use fee for the state park is required separately at the gate. Carpooling is encouraged.

On-Course Support

There is one aid station on the course and another at the finish line. They provide water, CeraSport electrolyte drink, and individually wrapped snacks. Runners are advised to bring their own water bottle for hydration.

Policies

The event does not allow transfers, refunds, or deferments. Race officials reserve the right to pull runners from the course if they show signs of dehydration or distress. The event benefits the Valley Rescue Mission. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
