Appalachian 200 / 100 - March 10, 2027
The Appalachian 200 / 100 is scheduled for March 10, 2027 in Franklin, NC and is organized by Run Bum. Year one is limited to 150 total runners. Registration closes on Mon, Mar 1 at 11:59 PM ET. Registration fees cover race entry and a finisher buckle for those who complete their distance.
The route traverses three states, moving from Upstate South Carolina into North Carolina into Georgia and finishing back in North Carolina. The course uses the Foothills Trail, the Palmetto, and the Bartram trails. The event will donate trail work and/or money to the trail associations that maintain these routes. The full race route will be posted and is subject to change before the race goes on sale.
Key race details include mandatory gear requirements and a required water filter for both distances. Finishers receive a buckle. Specifics:
- 200 mile: 110 hour cutoff; 40,000 ft gain and loss; point to point; 10-14 aid stations.
- 100 mile: 39 hour cutoff; 20,000 ft gain and loss; first 100 miles of the 200; about 7 aid stations.
