SafeNest 8th Annual Run for Hope 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run
This community event is scheduled for Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Sunset Park (2601 E Sunset Rd) in Las Vegas. The event program includes a timed 5K, a 1 mile fun run and walk, and a 1 mile pet walk. Pets may participate, and a separate pet registration fee applies.

A Health + Wellness Fair is part of the event and is open to the community; attendance does not require race participation. There is a medal ceremony that recognizes the top three women, top three men, top three youth (ages 3 to 17), and the top dog. Day-of registration is accepted with credit card payment only; cash is not accepted.
Funds raised at the Run for Hope support SafeNest services, including emergency shelter, counseling, and pet services such as onsite pet housing, supplies, and health and wellness exams. Registration fees are non-refundable and directly support SafeNest’s mission. Fees vary by category and include processing charges; sample prices listed for this event include adult 5K $66.18, adult 1 mile $28.74, youth entries $28.74, and pet registration $12.69.
