Sri Chinmoy Canberra: Labour Day 10K Fun Run
The Sri Chinmoy Fun-Runs are held twice a year on the signposted Sri Chinmoy 10 km Recreational Running Course alongside the northern shore of Lake Burley Griffin, with start and finish at Acton Park in Canberra. The event uses an established, measured and marked course that has been in use since 1984.
Distances:
- 10 km
- 4 km
The Labour Day edition takes place on Monday 5 October and is part of a series that also holds a match in March. Permanent Sri Chinmoy race number bibs are used for these races; participants who own a permanent bib must bring it to have a recorded result. On-the-day registration, race number collection and late entries are available at Acton Park between 7:30am and 8:20am.
The event features a family atmosphere with a post-race pancake breakfast and an awards presentation. Medals are awarded to top placegetters across multiple age categories for both distances; results and historical course records for the 10 km and 4 km have been maintained and published for many years.
