Catch Me If You Can 2 Mile Hero vs. Villain Chase
This event is a themed 2 mile chase in Benton City, WA on October 24, 2026. Participants choose a side at registration and join either Team Hero or Team Villain for a single two mile course. The Villains begin with a two minute head start and the Heroes start afterward. There is no physical tagging; Heroes try to safely pass as many Villains as they can before the finish line. Everyone completes the full 2 mile course whether they are passed or not.
Finishers receive team stickers to mark their outcome: Team Villain finishers receive an "I ESCAPED!" sticker and Team Hero finishers receive an "I CAUGHT 'EM!" sticker. Team scoring is based on the average chase-clock time for each side after all finishers cross; the team with the lower average chase time is declared the winner. Individual race results reflect each participant's actual running time. Official race shirts are planned and details about design and ordering will be announced later.
The event welcomes runners and walkers of various ages and abilities. Costumes are encouraged but not required.
