Event Overview
Trondheim Maraton is an annual running event held in the city of Trondheim, Norway. Organized by Nidelv IL and Bedriftsidretten, the event takes place during the first weekend of September. The schedule is divided into two distinct days: Saturday serves as a dedicated family day with various activities, while Sunday is the primary race day for the main distances.
The event offers several race categories with certified courses:
- Marathon (Helmaraton)
- Half Marathon (Halvmaraton)
- 10 km (BDO-MILA)
- 5 km (TrøndelagKraft 5'ern and TOBB Ung)
- Team Marathon and Team Half Marathon (available for women, men, and mixed teams)
- Children's Mini Marathon (Barnas Minimaraton)
Participants can choose from a wide range of age categories, starting from children under 10 years old up to master levels of 80 years and above. The event has seen significant growth, reaching over 14,000 participants in previous editions.
Registration for the event is binding and non-refundable. However, participants have the option to change their race distance as long as there are available slots. Training plans for 5 km, 10 km, and half marathon distances are provided to assist runners in their preparation, alongside strength training programs specifically designed for runners.
