EDP Maratona de Lisboa
The EDP Maratona de Lisboa is a long-distance running event held in Portugal. The race is a founding member of the European Marathon Classics circuit, which connects eight major marathons across Europe. The course is notable for being located entirely alongside the sea and the river.
The main event covers a distance of 42 km, with a participant limit of 18,000 runners and a time limit of 6 hours. The course starts in Carcavelos, specifically on the N6-7 road in front of the NOVA School of Business & Economics. The finish line is located at the emblemantic Praça do Comércio in Lisbon.

Registered participants receive a participation kit which includes a technical t-shirt, a bag, and a bib with an integrated timing chip. Finalists are also awarded a medal. Delivery of these kits takes place at the Sport Expo in the FIL (Feira Internacional de Lisboa) on the Thursday and Friday preceding the race.
Participants can access the start area by taking a train from Cais do Sodré in Lisbon or from Cascais to Carcavelos station. Transport on these train lines is free for runners upon presentation of their race bib until 17:00 on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
