Lake Garda 42
Lake Garda 42 is a multi-day running event held in the spring at Lake Garda, Italy. The competition features several distances and formats set against the backdrop of mountains and the lake.
The event offers the following distances:
- LG42: A marathon covering 42.195 km from Limone sul Garda to Malcesine, passing through Riva del Garda and Arco.
- LG21: A half marathon of 21 km starting in Arco and finishing in Malcesine.
- Trail Run: A specialized off-road run.
- LG Kids: A children's run held in the center of Arco.
- Morning Run: An introductory run along the suspended cycle path in Limone.
The marathon course begins at the lakeside in Limone, follows the water to Riva del Garda, and continues through orchards up to Arco before heading toward the finish. The half marathon follows the Sarca River from Arco toward the lake at Torbole.
Participants receive a service package with their registration fee, which includes official timing with intermediate times, a finisher medal, and a starter bag. Refreshment stations are positioned along the routes, with nine stations for the marathon and five for the half marathon. A free shuttle service involving buses and ferries connects the different event locations.
