Bergen City Marathon
The Bergen City Marathon is scheduled for Saturday, April 24, 2027. This 16th edition of the event takes place in the city of Bergen, Norway, with both the start and finish lines located at the historic Bryggen.
The course passes through several characteristic areas of the city. Participants run through Gamle Bergen and follow the views along Fjellveien. The route also includes the walkway around Store Lungegårdsvann, the streets of Nordnes, and Nordnesparken, before returning to the city center.
The event offers several distances and categories for different age groups:
- Marathon (42 km): Open to participants from 18 years and older.
- Half Marathon (21 km): Open to participants from 16 years and older.
- Relay: Available for women's teams, men's teams, and mixed teams.
- 5 km: Open to participants from 10 years and older.
- Kids Race (1.5 km): Specifically for children aged 0-12 years.
Age classifications for individual races are divided into specific brackets, starting from youth and junior categories up to senior and veteran classes in five-year intervals.
