Death Valley Trail Marathon & Half Marathon
The event offers two trail distances in Titus Canyon within Death Valley National Park.

The start and finish are at the west end of Titus Canyon where it meets Scotty's Castle Road. The half marathon goes into the canyon to an aid station at approximately mile 6.5 and returns to the finish. The marathon continues past that aid station to a mile 8 turnaround, returns to the mile 13 aid station at the Titus Canyon entrance, proceeds to an 18 mile turnaround, and then returns to the finish along the same dirt road. The course follows a single dirt road through the canyon and does not require additional markings.
Aid stations for the marathon are at approximately miles 3, 6.5, 9.5, 12, 15.5, and 18. Half marathon aid stations are at approximately miles 3, 6.5, and 10. Stations provide water, lemonade, sports bars, and a variety of snacks. Energy gels are not stocked; runners should carry any gels they plan to use and dispose of wrappers only at aid stations. Portable toilets will be located at the start/finish and at several points along the course.
The event is limited to 200 participants due to National Park Service rules. Registrations are non-refundable; if the race is canceled, a credit toward a future race may be issued. Headphones and earbuds are not allowed. Titus Canyon has reopened; there will be construction in the Red Pass area while the west end remains open. Typical temperatures range from about 30 to 40 degrees at night and from the low 60s to mid 70s by day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
