adidas Stockholm Marathon
The adidas Stockholm Marathon is a large-scale running event held in the Swedish capital. The course covers a distance of 42,195 meters and takes participants through several central districts and scenic areas. The route begins in Östermalm and passes through Vasastan, the waterfronts of Kungsholmen, and the Stockholm City Hall. Runners also experience the historic Gamla Stan (Old Town) and the Royal Palace, the nature of Djurgården, and the Södermalm district. The race concludes with a finish inside the historic Stockholm Stadium, the site of the 1912 Olympic Games.

The course has a maximum time limit of 6 hours and 30 minutes, with four specific checkpoints along the route that must be passed within set time limits to continue the race. Participants can utilize pace leaders for various target times ranging from 3:00 to 5:45. Service stations providing water, sports drinks, and energy such as bananas, gels, and salt pickles are positioned throughout the course.
Participants must be at least 18 years old (born in 2009 or earlier for the 2027 edition). The event is organized by the athletics clubs Hässelby SK and Spårvägens FK, with all surpluses supporting sports programs. Registration is binding and tiers are based on the date of entry.
