About the race
The Silesia Marathon is a major running event held in the Silesia region of Poland. The competition features several different distances to accommodate various running preferences:
- Silesia 5K RUN
- Silesia 10K RUN
- Silesia Half Marathon
- Silesia Marathon
- Silesia Ultramarathon
The finish line for the marathon and its accompanying races is located on the track of the Silesian Stadium (Stadion Śląski) in Chorzów. The courses for the marathon and half marathon are officially certified by IAAF and the Polish Athletic Association, while the ultramarathon course holds a certificate from the Polish Athletic Association.
Participants are organized into designated starting zones based on their declared times. On the marathon course, pacemakers are available to help runners maintain specific target paces. The event office is located at the Silesian Stadium, and the organizer provides information regarding public transport access and nearby paid parking within the Silesia Park area. Runners can use their starting numbers for public transport travel after collecting their race packs.
Registration is conducted online via a voucher system. While participants must register their data, it is possible to purchase a voucher as a gift for another person. Race packs do not have to be collected in person; another individual may collect them by presenting the participant's b-ticket with a QR code.
