Maraton Warszawski
Maraton Warszawski is an annual running event that has been held continuously since 1979. The race takes place in the heart of Warsaw, featuring a route that passes through historic areas of the city. As part of a larger running weekend, the event includes multiple race formats and categories.
The event offers several distances and participation options:
- Marathon (42.195 km)
- Warszawska Dycha (10 km)
- Mini Maraton (distances from 50 to 1200 meters)
The marathon serves as a qualifying event for the AbbottWMM MTT Age Group World Championships 2025 for runners aged 40 and over. It is also part of the Złota Seria, a cycle of the three largest Polish marathons, and the European Marathon Classics, a series of eight marathons across Europe.
Runners can choose a traditional registration or a charitable path called #BiegamDobrze, where participants collect funds for selected non-profit organizations to receive their start number. The weekend includes additional attractions such as the EXPO Sport & Fitness and a dedicated Fan Zone. While the marathon and the 10 km race are held on Sunday, the Mini Maraton for children and youth aged 3 to 16 takes place on Saturday.
All finishers receive a commemorative medal. The 10 km race route connects the left and right banks of the Vistula River, allowing participants to see the city's landmarks during the run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
