About the race
Maraton Warszawski is an annual marathon held in Warsaw that has taken place continuously since 1979. The race route runs through the central parts of the city and the event is traditionally scheduled on the last Sunday of September; the site lists 27 September 2026 for the coming edition.
The event program includes a Marathon Fan Zone and an EXPO Sport&Fitness area, planned spectator points and family attractions. Organizers publish an informator about temporary changes to road organization. Every finisher receives a medal at the finish line; participants also receive an official commemorative shirt or edition gadgets, with details announced before the race.
The race weekend groups several events and distances:
- Marathon
- 10 km Warszawska Dycha held almost in parallel with the marathon
- Mini Marathon for children and youth aged 3 to 16 with distances 50–1200 m
The registration system shows a capacity of 24 000 places. There is a charity path under the name #BiegamDobrze that offers a starting number to participants who support selected charities. The Marathon Warszawski is organised as part of wider event series and collaborations, and the organiser runs additional races throughout the year.
