Event Overview
The Zürich Marathon is a city-based running event held in the Swiss metropolis. The course leads participants through the city streets and along the shores of Lake Zürich. All race distances are officially measured, ensuring that personal records and times are formally recognized.
Distances
Participants can choose from three main distances:
- Marathon: A 42.195 km course through Zürich and along the lake.
- Half Marathon: A 21.1 km race starting at the Quaibrücke and finishing at Sechseläutenplatz.
- On Z10: A 10 km run through the city center.
Location and Course
The finish line for the events is located at Sechseläutenplatz, one of the central and most prominent locations in the city. The route is characterized by its views of the city and the waterfront. Due to potential urban construction projects, specific adjustments to the course layout may occur.

Assistance for athletes with disabilities is provided through the PluSport program. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
