Zombie Run and Lurch
Zombie Run and Lurch is a themed run and walk held in Tremont, Cleveland on October 11, 2026, beginning at Clark Field and using the nearby Towpath Trail. The event supports the Monroe Street Cemetery Foundation, a 501(c)(3) all volunteer organization that preserves and enhances the historic Monroe Street Cemetery, its trees, headstones, monuments, and burial structures.
The route runs along sections of the Towpath Trail near Sokolowski's Overlook and the Cuyahoga River, offering access to both the northern and southern portions of the trail within the city. The Monroe Street Cemetery is a 13 acre open space with more than 34,000 recorded burials and provides tree covered walking paths and habitat for birds and wildlife.
Event options include the following distances:
- 5K Run/Walk (chip timed)
- 1 Mile Fun Run (untimed)
Registration is available before the event with specified pre registration fees and on race day at higher fees. Participants receive a short sleeved event shirt and post race refreshments. Awards are given to overall top three male and female finishers and to top three male and female age group finishers across defined age categories.
