Zombie Run and Lurch
Zombie Run and Lurch is a themed run and walk on the Towpath Trail that starts at Clark Field in Tremont (320 Clark Ave, Cleveland, OH 44113). Participants are invited to wear zombie costumes or other scary outfits. The event benefits the Monroe Street Cemetery Foundation, a 501(c)(3) all-volunteer organization that preserves and maintains Monroe Street Cemetery, including trees, headstones, monuments and burial structures.
The Towpath Trail passes near Sokolowski's Overlook and the Cuyahoga River and provides access to both northern and southern trail sections within the city. Monroe Street Cemetery is a 13-acre open space with more than 34,000 stories, offering tree-covered walking paths and habitat for birds and wildlife.

Registration opens April 29, 2026 and closes October 10, 2026. Pre-registration fees are $35 for the 5K and $25 for the 1 Mile; race-day fees are $40 and $30 respectively. The 5K is chip timed and the 1 Mile is untimed. Participants receive a short-sleeved event t-shirt and post-race refreshments. Awards include top three overall male and female and top three male and female in age groups 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. Dogs are allowed; handlers are asked to keep dogs on a short leash and line up at the back. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
