Zombie Run 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run : Van Buren Township
The event is a themed running event held on Saturday October 10, 2026, at Van Buren Park, 50901 S. Interstate 94 Service Drive, Van Buren Township, Michigan. The course passes through Van Buren Park and along the Iron Belle Trail and will include actors dressed as zombies, ghosts, and goblins.

Registration opens September 6 and closes September 30 with tiered fees: the 5K is listed at $30 before September 30 and $35 from October 1; the 1 Mile Fun Run is listed at $15. Registration for the 5K includes a race shirt; registration for the 1 Mile Fun Run includes a race medal.
Awards cover overall fastest male and female, youth and teen age groups, multiple adult age-group categories, masters, and a fastest teacher/staff prize. Additional recognitions include most creative zombie and most frightening crew.
Event amenities include water stations along the course and snacks at the finish area. Parking is available at Lakewood Shopping Center (the old K-mart) with pedestrian access to the park via sidewalk and the Iron Belle Trail.
