5K Zombie Run and 1 Mile Fun Run : Van Buren Township
The event is a Halloween themed running event at Van Buren Park and along the Iron Belle Trail in Van Buren Township, Michigan. It includes a 5K run/walk and a 1 mile fun run with costuming and themed characters such as zombies, ghosts, and goblins on the course.

Registration opens on September 6, 2026 and closes on September 30, 2026. Pricing for the 5K follows a two-tier timeline: $30 before September 30 and $35 from October 1 through race day. The 1 mile fun run registration fee is $15. A virtual run option is offered with the same pricing timeline. Registration for the 5K includes a race shirt; registration for the 1 mile fun run includes a race medal.
The organizer lists awards for overall fastest male and female, age group and masters categories, a fastest teacher or staff award, and event-specific awards such as Most Creative Zombie and Most Frightening Crew. Water stations will be available along the course and snacks will be provided at the finish area. Early race packet pickup is scheduled on October 6 at the VBPS administrative building in Belleville.
