The Roman Ramble
The Roman Ramble is a trail running event on 19 April 2026 at Billingford Lakes, North Elmham Road, NR20 4RG. The event is organised by Zig Zag Running and is limited to 300 entrants. Entry fees vary by distance and category, with prices shown in the event information ranging from about £27 to £38. Entries close on 18 April 2026.
Course, distances and facilities
The course follows the Roman Ramble Trail (final route TBC) and mixes tarmac paths, grassland and rugged trails. Available distances include:
- 5k
- 10k
- 15k
- Half marathon
- Heavy half marathon
- Full marathon
- Ultra marathon
The heavy half marathon is standardised as 5 laps, with an option to change to 6 or 7 laps on the day. The ultra marathon is standardised as 9 laps, with the option to increase up to 12 laps where time allows. An aid station will be located at base camp; this event is cupless, so participants should bring their own cups or bottles. Parking is included in the race entry.
