ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk - New York City

The ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk in New York City is a community event focused on raising funds and awareness for prostate cancer research, testing, and patient support. The event brings together survivors, patients, and caregivers to honor those affected by the disease. Held at Esplanade Plaza, the gathering serves as a local effort within a national series dedicated to prostate cancer.

Participants can choose from several event day activities:

  • 5K Run/Walk
  • 1 Mile Walk
  • Kids Dash

The event is designed to be family-friendly and includes specific highlights such as Survivor and Caregiver Recognition and various kid-friendly activities. The physical location at 389 South End Avenue is accessible, and the organizers offer ADA accommodations including sign language interpretation and materials in accessible formats upon request.

For those unable to attend in person, a virtual participation option is available. Virtual participants use the RunGo App to complete their chosen distance on their own course. This digital platform provides a real-time leaderboard, timing, and a downloadable event playlist, allowing remote runners to engage with the community and qualify for recognition rewards.

Registration is open to individuals and teams. While there is no fee to register, participants are encouraged to fundraise. Those who reach specific fundraising milestones are eligible for event apparel and other recognition rewards. All funds raised support a variety of programs, including financial assistance for patients, research for new treatments, and educational awareness efforts.
