Zanfel Orienteering Race # 3
Zanfel Orienteering Race # 3 takes place on October 3, 2026 at the Lodge / Lake Area on the south end of Waubonsie Park, 2585 Waubonsie Park Road, Hamburg, IA 51640, USA. This event is the third race in the orienteering series.
The format combines running and hiking with map reading and written instructions to locate checkpoints. Maps, instructions, and punch cards are handed out at check in, where staff can provide help with maps. The free app Handy GPS may be used for navigation. The event is self supported and park permits are available at the park entrance.

Registration opens December 12, 2025 and closes August 18, 2026. The registration fee is $40 per person and includes shirts, medals, drinks, and snacks. Divisions are Solo, coed, men, and women, and there are 2 to 3 person team options. Participants should bring map cases, cell phones, and small packs for water and snacks.
