Youngstown Ultra Trail Classic 2026
The Youngstown Ultra Trail Classic offers two ultramarathon distances held at Mill Creek Park in Youngstown, Ohio, with the course starting and finishing at the Wick Recreation Area near the Bresko Pavilion. The event uses mostly single-track and unimproved trails with minimal road surfaces.
The course is approximately 95% trails and features rocks, roots, short steep hills, remote and seldom-used sections, and a rugged stream crossing. Each 25K loop accumulates about 1,397 feet of elevation gain. The 25K is one loop around Mill Creek Park; the 50K is two loops of the same course. The finish line is located uphill at the Bresko Pavilion.
Distances:
- 25K one loop around Mill Creek Park
- 50K two loops around Mill Creek Park
Aid stations are located at the Covered Bridge and at the Start/Finish area. The Covered Bridge aid station is visited twice per 25K loop; runners in the 50K visit it additional times on the second loop. Aid stations provide water, sports drink, packaged food, fresh fruit, recently made sandwiches and hot cooked foods. Feminine products are available at both aid stations.
Registration is capped at 250 runners total, with 125 places per distance. Race day signups will be offered in 2026. Transfers are not permitted; deferments are allowed for pregnancy and postpartum issues. No refunds are available. Requested T shirt sizes are not guaranteed for registrations received after August 16, 2026.
Organized orientation and training runs are scheduled on June 13 and July 18 starting at the Wick Recreation Area. An after race gathering will be held at the Bresko Pavilion. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
