Youngstown Peace Race
The 52nd annual Youngstown Peace Race takes place on Sunday, October 18, 2026, in Youngstown, Ohio. The event is a multi-race road event that includes in-person and virtual participation options and finishes at the monument at the intersection of Federal Plaza and Wick Ave.
Distances offered include:
- 25K
- 11K, replacing the usual 10K this year due to park construction
- 2 mile run or walk
- 400 meter Kids Fun Run for ages 10 and under
- Virtual participant option
Course and logistics details: the 11K uses a point to point route that begins near the Kirk Road and South Schenley Avenue intersection and proceeds through Mill Creek Park. The 11K has a designated start line drop off area at Kirkmere Elementary School and participants in that race are asked to pick up race packets before going to the drop off area. The Kids Fun Run starts west of the Federal Plaza and Wick Ave intersection in downtown Youngstown, and the 2 mile event starts from the downtown square. All races conclude under the finish line banner at the monument at Federal Plaza and Wick Ave.
