Youngstown Peace Race
The Youngstown Peace Race is an annual running event held in Youngstown, Ohio. The 52nd edition of the race features several different distances and participation formats for athletes:
- 25K run
- 11K point-to-point race
- 2-Mile run/walk
- 400m Kids Fun Run (limited to ages 10 and under)
- Virtual participation option
The 11K distance for this edition replaces the traditional 10K due to construction within the park. This specific course begins at the intersection of Kirk Road and South Schenley Avenue, with the drop-off area located at Kirkmere Elementary School. The route follows a fast point-to-point path that winds through Mill Creek Park.
The 2-Mile run and walk begins in the downtown square. The 400m Kids Fun Run takes place west of the Federal Plaza and Wick Avenue intersection. All participants across the different in-person events conclude their races at the monument located at the intersection of Federal Plaza and Wick Avenue. For the 11K, participants are required to collect their race packets before heading to the starting area at Kirkmere. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
