Course and race details

The route starts near the village centre and finishes on the main street by The George pub. The course is partially marked and marshalled and uses public paths throughout. Terrain includes rough trails, open fields, short sections of country lane, low-level technical parts, limestone descents that can become slippery, and a swamp. Much of the route crosses grazing land, so cattle may be present. Navigation skills or local knowledge are an advantage and a course recce is possible.

Parking is centred on Alport Lane Playing Fields; there is limited space and an additional car park at Coldwell End. Facilities mentioned on race day include registration at the playing fields and three toilet blocks in the village area. Prizes include overall and age-category medals, with separate awards for specified age groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
