The Pommie Panter fell race takes place in Youlgrave, Peak District, on 17 May 2026. The course is 5.8 miles (9.3 km) with 876 ft (267 m) of climb. The event is held under Fell Running Association rules with a permit and insurance. Minimum age is 16. Entry fee is £6 for pre-entry and on-the-day entry; entries are limited to 175 entrants. All profits are donated to Youlgrave Parish Council for village facilities.

Course and logistics

The route starts near the Youlgrave Village Well on Moor Lane and finishes on the main street by The George pub. The course runs on public paths and is partly marked and marshalled. Terrain includes rough trails, open fields, short sections of country lane, some low-level technical parts, limestone descents that can be slippery, and a swamp. Around 80% of the route crosses grazing land, so runners may encounter cattle. Navigation skills or local knowledge are recommended and a recce of the public-path route is allowed.

Parking is centred on Alport Lane Playing Fields, Youlgrave (DE45 1WN); space is limited and the village is about 800 m end-to-end. Registration and number collection are located at the playing fields. There are three toilet blocks in the village. Water and paper cups are provided at the finish. Prizes include overall and age-category medals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
