Yorktown Christian Academy Lions Run - February 6, 2027
Yorktown Christian Academy in Corpus Christi, Texas hosts a community running event on February 6, 2027. The program includes a variety of distances, a family expo with local health and wellness vendors in the school parking lot, and a pancake breakfast that uses the race bib for entry; additional breakfast tickets are available for purchase while supplies last.
Individual race fees vary by distance and registration date, with reduced early rates and higher fees after January 8, 2027. Race day registration is available for a specified fee and accepts card payment only; shirts and breakfast are not guaranteed for late or race day registrations. School running clubs may register teams by the January 8, 2027 deadline to receive per-entry discounts based on team size.
The course begins and ends at Yorktown Christian Academy and includes a loop on Oso Parkway and Staples. Water and aid stations will be placed along the route. No skates, skateboards, bicycles, scooters, or pets are allowed; strollers must start at the back of the pack. The 1K route shares the same start as the 5K and returns along the same route.
Awards include medals for first through third place male and female finishers in each age division and overall; runners may receive only one award. The 2-mile walk is not timed. Participation medals are provided to all 1K runners. Packet pickup is available the day before the event at Yorktown Baptist Church; packets will not be mailed.
