Yorktown Christian Academy Lions Run : February 6, 2027
Yorktown Christian Academy in Corpus Christi, TX hosts a community running event featuring multiple distances and family activities. The event includes a mascot/kiddie fun run for littles not registered to run, opening activities with a Boy Scout color guard and national anthem, and a warm-up with Camp Gladiator.

- 2-mile walk
The route begins and ends at Yorktown Christian Academy and includes a loop on Oso Parkway and Staples. Water and aid stations will be available along the course. No skates, skateboards, bicycles, scooters, or pets are allowed. Strollers must start at the back of the pack. The 1K uses the same start as the 5K and returns along the same route.
Fees vary by distance and registration date. Individual fees include $20 for the 1K; $30 for 5K, 10K and 2-mile walk before January 8, 2027; higher rates apply after that date and on race day. T-shirt availability and breakfast are not guaranteed for registrations received after January 8 or for race day registration. School running club team rates apply: $25 per entry for 1–14 entries and $20 per entry for 15 or more.
Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in each age division and overall; runners may receive only one award. The 2-mile run is not timed. Participation medals will be given to all 1K runners.
Packets may be picked up at Yorktown Baptist Church on Friday, February 5, 2027; packets will not be mailed. A pancake breakfast and a family expo with local health and wellness vendors are part of the event. Race bibs also serve as entry to the pancake breakfast and raffle; additional breakfast tickets are available for $5 while supplies last.
