Event Overview
Ultra Tour Yorkshire Dales (UTYD) takes place on October 17, 2026, starting in Grassington in the Yorkshire Dales. The event is open to walkers and runners aged 20 or older.
Distances
The event offers three distances:
- 25k
- 50k (with 1260m of total ascent)
- 100k
Route
The route passes through areas including Malham Tarn, Buckden Pike, and sections of the Dales Way. It goes through Quant Dales villages and finishes along the Dales Way back to Grassington. The terrain includes runnable trails, boggy moorland, and hill climbs.
Participation Requirements
This is a self-navigated event with no way markers and few marshals. Participants must have map reading, navigation skills, and experience on the fells. The 25k distance has a fixed route, while the 50k and 100k allow route choice between checkpoints within event rules.
What's Included
Each entry includes a route GPX file, live tracking and timing, aid stations with hot and cold food and drinks, a finisher meal, and an event gift.
