Event
Punk Panther Yorkshire Reservoir Dogs is a trail running event on 26 September 2026 near Otley. Entry is open from 28 September 2025 and closes on 13 September 2026. Minimum age is 18. Maximum entrants are 200; 13 participants were listed so far. The event is part of a race series (8 of 10) and offers ITRA points of 1 / 1 / 2 and UTMB qualification codes Q20K / Q20K / Q50K for the three distances.
Course and logistics
The route passes by seven reservoirs and includes areas such as Stainburn Forest and Almscliffe Crag. Distances and climb are:
- 13 miles
- 20 miles
- 32 miles
Climb: 1400 / 1900 / 3500 feet respectively. The longer route includes Eccup reservoir in addition to Lindley Wood, Swinsty, Fewston, Thruscross, John O’Gaunt, Beaver Dyke and Scargill reservoirs. Checkpoints provide water, coke, energy bars and crisps. Finish and registration are at The Bridge Church, Cattle Market Street, Otley LS21 1RW. Car parking is provided at a nearby car park off Bremner Street.
All ultramarathon entrants receive a tracker; half and 20-mile entrants can hire a tracker for £15. A mandatory kit list applies to all distances and will be enforced by random kit checks on course. Support crews should avoid official checkpoints except the named CPs. Finishers receive a medal and an event T-shirt unless they opt out; food and hot drinks are available at the finish.
