Event overview

Punk Panther Yorkshire Reservoir Dogs is a one-day trail event on Saturday 26 September 2026 near Otley, West Yorkshire. The race route passes seven reservoirs and includes areas such as Stainburn Forest and Almscliffe Crag. Maximum entrants: 200. Distances, ITRA points and UTMB qualification are provided for each distance.

Distances and course details

  • 13 miles - 1400 ft climb
  • 20 miles - 1900 ft climb
  • 32 miles - 3500 ft climb

The route visits Lindley Wood, Swinsty, Fewston, Thruscross, John O’Gaunt, Beaver Dyke and Scargill reservoirs; the longer route also includes Eccup reservoir. Checkpoints supply water, coke, energy bars and crisps.

Key checkpoint locations:

  • 32-mile: Blubberhouses (9 mi), second loop CP (17 mi), Stainburn (24 mi). Finish at The Bridge Church, Otley.
  • 20-mile: Swinsty (7.5 mi), Stainburn (13 mi). Finish at The Bridge Church, Otley.
  • 13-mile: Stainburn (13 mi). Finish at The Bridge Church, Otley.

Car parking is provided at Craftsman Tools Car Park, Bremner Street off A659 Pool Road, Otley LS21 1JD. Registration takes place at The Bridge Church, Cattle Market St, Otley LS21 1RW.

All ultramarathon entrants receive a tracker; shorter-distance runners may hire a tracker for £15. A mandatory kit list applies to all distances and random kit checks may be carried out on course.
