Punk Panther Yorkshire Reservoir Dogs
The event takes place on Saturday 26 September 2026 in and around Otley, West Yorkshire. It is organised by Punk Panther Ultra Marathons. Entries open 28 September 2025 and close 13 September 2026. Minimum age is 18 or older. Maximum entrants are 200 and entries recorded so far are 7. The event is number 8 of 10 in its race series.
Route, distances and logistics
The route follows waterside trails and passes seven reservoirs: Lindley Wood, Swinsty, Fewston, Thruscross, John O’Gaunt, Beaver Dyke and Scargill. The longer route also includes Eccup reservoir. Areas of interest on the trail include Stainburn Forest and Almscliffe Crag.
Distances:
- 13 miles - climb 1400 feet
- 20 miles - climb 1900 feet
- 32 miles - climb 3500 feet
Checkpoint provision includes water, coke, energy bars and crisps. All ultramarathon entrants are supplied with a tracker; half marathon and 20 mile entrants may hire a tracker for £15. GPX files and a route description are provided; taped route markings are used but may be moved, so they are not the sole navigation method. Random kit checks will take place on course; a minimum kit list applies to all distances and missing required items may lead to disqualification. Support crews must avoid official checkpoints except Swinsty and Stainburn. Every finisher receives a medal and an event T-shirt unless they opt out. Finish catering includes homemade pie, cheese toasties, a 10 bean chilli suitable for vegan and gluten free diets, and hot drinks. Dogs are not permitted inside the registration/finish church.
