The York County SPCA Tails on the Trail 5K is an inaugural community run and walk event held at WellSpan Park in York. This family-friendly gathering supports the York County SPCA by raising funds for the sheltering, medical treatment, and rehabilitation of vulnerable animals. Course Details
The 5 km route utilizes a portion of the Northern Extension of the Heritage Rail Trail County Park. The starting line is situated at Keystone Kidspace. From there, participants head toward the 4 mile marker, crossing a bridge before turning back to follow the trail toward the finish. While the event includes official awards for those finishing within a specific timeframe, all participants are encouraged to complete the course at their own pace.
Participation and Logistics
Registration is open to the public and includes a commemorative t-shirt for those who sign up by the early March deadline. The event features various amenities and guidelines:
