YMCA Turkey Trot 5K : November 27, 2025
The YMCA Turkey Trot 5K takes place in Colorado Springs, at 4025 Family Place (Briargate YMCA). The event includes a 5K and a Tiny Trot 1K for children. The 2025 edition is the 28th annual Turkey Trot and the event typically attracts over 4,000 participants. All proceeds benefit the YMCA and provide support to a family or individual in need. 5K participants may bring leashed dogs in the designated Furry Friend wave; dogs must be current on shots and well behaved.
Registration, fees, packet pickup and awards
The Turkey Trot 5K is open to ages 6 to 99. The Kids Tiny Trot is open to ages 1 to 12. Pricing for 2025 lists early bird entry fees (October 11 to November 26) as $35 for ages 0-19 and $45 for ages 20 and older. Day-of entry fees are $40 for ages 0-19 and $50 for ages 20 and older. A Furry Friend add-on is listed at $15. Children in strollers are not charged. Packet pickup is held inside the Briargate YMCA center in the "little" gym on the two days before the race and also on race day at the Briargate YMCA. Volunteers who register by November 1 are eligible to receive a race hoodie. Awards include medals for the top three male and female competitors in each division and Fleet Feet gift certificates for the overall top male and female (1st $100, 2nd $75, 3rd $50).
