YMCA River Run
The YMCA River Run in Medicine Hat is an annual charity running event. It supports local YMCA programs, including the Strong Kids Campaign. The event welcomes people of all ages and abilities to walk, jog, or run.
The event takes place on June 13, 2026, at the Downtown YMCA on 150 Ash Ave SE. Several race distances are offered:
- 21.1 km
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 3 km
All routes use the city pathway system and have limited road crossings. Prize medals are awarded to the first, second, and third-place finishers in three age categories: Youth (17 and under), Adult (18-59), and Senior (60 plus).
Registration is required and follows tiered pricing for Youth, Adult, and Senior participants. The registration deadline is June 12th. Volunteers are also welcomed to assist with the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
