YMCA of Washington County Triathlon : August 8, 2026
The YMCA of Washington County Triathlon is scheduled for August 8, 2026 at the Washington YMCA, 520 W. 5th St., Washington, Iowa. The event is the inaugural edition and offers both individual and team triathlon options.
The competition consists of three sequential segments:
- 300-yard swim in the indoor aquatic center at the Washington YMCA
- 13 mile bike course on the Kewash Trail, run out and back on a generally flat route
- 5K run that starts and finishes at the YMCA and travels through Sunset Park
Registration opens January 29, 2026 and closes July 1, 2026. Published entry fees are $65.00 for the individual triathlon and $90.00 for the team triathlon.
The swim takes place indoors at the YMCA aquatic center. The bike course follows the Kewash Trail along an out and back alignment. The run route passes through local parkland and returns to the YMCA start area.
