About the race
The YMCA Autumn Dash is a community 5K road loop held in Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania, on September 19, 2026. The course begins and ends at the W. Dale Brougher Foundation YMCA at 100 Constitution Avenue and winds along township country roads, through the SpiriTrust Lutheran senior-living campus and Miller Park before returning to the YMCA.
Timing is chip-based with a gun start and finish recorded when a runner crosses the finish mat; Black Cat Timing provides the chip timing. Race safety measures include professional traffic control along the route and a first aid tent hosted by WellSpan Health Sports Medicine. Strollers and dogs are not permitted on course, and dogs are explicitly prohibited in the community park.
Registration information notes a base fee of $30 and that the fee increases on September 1. Registration opens in spring 2026. Packet pickup is available the Friday before the race and the morning of the event; pickup is inside the YMCA and one person may collect packets for multiple entrants. Parking is available at the YMCA and on Fairview Court; the YMCA lot closes before the start and reopens after the race. An awards ceremony follows the race.
