YMCA Autumn Dash 5K
The YMCA Autumn Dash is a community 5K loop that begins and ends at the W. Dale Brougher Foundation YMCA in Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania. The course follows township and country roads, passes through the SpiriTrust Lutheran senior-living campus and continues through Miller Park before returning to the YMCA.
Timing is managed with a gun start (no starting mat), finish times recorded when runners cross the finish mat, and electronic chip timing provided by Black Cat Timing. Awards are presented to overall male and female winners and to first, second and third place finishers in male and female age divisions. Age divisions range from youth groups through 70 and over.
Event safety includes professional traffic control along the route and a first aid tent hosted by WellSpan Health Sports Medicine. Parking is available at the YMCA and on Fairview Court. Constitution Avenue will be closed near the YMCA for the race start. Strollers and dogs are not permitted on the course, and dogs are prohibited in the community park.
