YFC Seeley Lake Challenge Triathlon/Duathlon : August 1, 2026, Seeley Lake, MT

The event at Riverpoint Campground on August 1, 2026, includes triathlon and duathlon options, team events, a solo mini swim, and two kids triathlon categories. Registration is handled at the venue on the day before and the day of the event. All racers are chip-timed and finish results are available immediately. Parking is off-site at Pyramid Mountain Lumber; there is no parking at the race venue. Fees include parking, shuttle service, a race chip, snacks, and medals for winners. T-shirts are provided to those registered before July 15.

Course and race details

  • Swim distances: Mini 150 yds; Short 300 yds; Long 600 yds
  • Run: mostly on trail, shaded by old growth Western Larch trees - 3 miles
  • Bike: combination of paved county road, dirt road and trails - 7.8 miles

The swim is in open water and wetsuits are not required. The event uses a 3 second staggered start from the transition area. The Boy Scout bridge is closed until 2027, which affects course routing. Spectator parking and the shuttle are free; spectators must stay out of the transition area and may use a trail from the spectator area to the beach. Folding chairs are allowed for spectators.

The kids triathlon is for ages 5 to 12. Children use the outside of the swim buoys, may stop and hold on, and may wear life vests. Parents may follow inside the buoys. The kids' bike course uses the first half of the adult run trail for ages 8 and under and the full adult run trail for ages 9-12. Kids finish on the same line as adults.
