Snow Joke Half Marathon
The Snow Joke Half Marathon is a winter road and trail half marathon held in Seeley Lake, Montana. The event covers 13.1 miles and is organized as a cupless race; participants may refill personal hydration devices at aid stations. The course is open to strollers and dogs; all dogs must be on a non-retractable leash and participants are asked to clean up after them. Volunteers will provide water and dog treats at each aid station.
Registration is capped at 750 participants. Entry fees follow tiered pricing and, as stated in the waiver, are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-deferrable. Run Wild Missoula members receive a small registration discount. Packet pickup takes place the day before at Run Wild Missoula headquarters and on race morning at Seeley Lake Elementary School; race day pickup ends promptly at 10:45 AM. All finishers receive chip timing, a custom bib, and a Snow Joke finisher medal; participants 21 and older receive one post-race beer. Cash awards are offered for the top three overall male, female, and nonbinary finishers ($300, $150, $75). The event lists Seeley Lake Elementary School among its beneficiaries and notes past donations to local schools and community foundations.
