Snow Joke Half Marathon : Seeley Lake, Montana
The Snow Joke Half Marathon is a winter road and trail event held in Seeley Lake, Montana, on February 28, 2026. The race covers 13.1 miles with start and finish at Seeley Lake Elementary School. Organizers note a new course for this edition and that course conditions can vary due to winter weather.
Registration opens July 11, 2025, and entry is capped at 750 participants. Fees are tiered with typical early and late registration ranges; Run Wild Missoula members receive a small discount. Packet pickup is available the day before at Run Wild Missoula headquarters and on race morning at Seeley Lake Elementary.
This is a cupless event. Participants may carry their own hydration devices and may refill them at aid stations. The course is open to strollers and to dogs on non-retractable leashes; aid stations will include water and treats for canine participants. A cutoff is in place for the highway portion of the course just after mile 5.
All finishers receive chip timing, a custom bib, and a Snow Joke finisher medal. Participants ages 21 and over receive one post-race beer and pancakes are provided after the race. Cash prizes are listed for the top overall finishers in male, female, and nonbinary divisions, and a pet prize is awarded to the first canine finisher.
