Yell County Freedom 4-Miler
The Yell County Freedom 4-Miler is a community event on July 4, 2026 at Veterans Memorial Riverfront Park in Dardanelle, Arkansas. The program includes running, walking, a kids fun run and a virtual run or walk, all tied to a riverside trail course.

The course is described as a scenic 2 mile out and back along the new Dardanelle Trail System, starting and finishing at the trail head near the basketball court in Veterans Memorial Riverfront Park. The route follows Front Street, turns on to N Second Street, crosses under Highway 22, and reaches the parking lot by the Dardanelle Community Center at the turnaround point.
This event is chip timed; participants must cross the start and finish mats to be recorded and should attach the timing chip to their shoe. There is one water stop at the turnaround near the community center. Overall awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in both runner and walker categories, plus top three age awards in 10 year increments from 0-9 through 80 plus.
Packet pickup and same day registration are available at the start line. Parking is available at Veterans Memorial Riverfront Park. The day at Veterans Park also includes family activities such as a community slip n slide, food trucks, live music, and an aerial fireworks display over the water.
