Yarra River Running Festival : Westerfolds Park, Templestowe
The Yarra River Running Festival is an organised running event held at Westerfolds Park in Templestowe, Victoria. The program includes multiple distances and a 2 km Family Dash aimed at introducing children to outdoor running.
Distances offered:
- 21.1 km Half Marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 2 km Family Dash
The course is mostly paved through Westerfolds Park and then runs north alongside the Yarra River. There are a few short gravel sections adjacent to the river. Water stations will supply water and electrolytes at set points on each course; specific station locations are listed for each distance.
All event distances are chip timed by Multisport Australia. Every finisher receives an event-themed medal, post-race refreshments, sponsor giveaways, and an online finisher certificate. The 2 km Family Dash allows an accompanying adult to run with a child for an additional fee; the adult is not timed and does not receive a medal.
There is no cut-off for the 2 km, 5 km, or 10 km events. The Half Marathon has a cut-off time of 3.5 hours. Race bibs are printed three weeks before the event and posted two weeks before the event if requested. A photographer will take on-course photos after the race. Participants should be aware of other pedestrians, cyclists, and dogs on shared paths. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
