Yanmar America 5K
The inaugural Yanmar America 5K takes place on June 20, 2026, at the Calhoun City Recreation Department park, 120 Recreation Drive, Calhoun, GA 30701. The event raises funds for The Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter.
The course is described as fast and flat and winds around the recreation park. Participants may walk, jog, or run. Strollers are allowed; participants who push a stroller are asked to start toward the back to reduce tripping hazards.
Registration fees are $30 for adults and $20 for participants age 18 and under. Each registration includes a race t-shirt. Registration opens March 15, 2026, and closes June 14, 2026. Pre-registration packet pick up is scheduled for Friday, June 5, with time and location to be determined and communicated to pre-registered participants.
Start and finish lines are located in the Calhoun City Recreation Department park. There is race day parking in the park adjacent to the ball fields and the start and finish area.
Awards will be presented to top finishers including the top three overall male and female, top masters male and female, and top three male and female in multiple age categories from 10 and under through 70 and over.
