Yanmar America 5K
The inaugural Yanmar America 5K takes place on June 20, 2026 at the Calhoun City Recreation Department in Calhoun, Georgia. The event uses a fast, flat 5K course that winds around Black and Gold Park. Participants may walk, jog, or run the course.
The event raises funds for The Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter. Registration is open in advance and has set entry fees: $30 for adult 5K registration and $20 for participants age 18 and under. Pre-registration packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, June 5, with time and location to be determined and communicated to pre-registered runners.
Race day parking is available in the park adjacent to the ball fields and the start and finish lines are located at the Calhoun City Recreation Department. Awards are allocated to overall finishers and age groups, including top three overall male and female, top masters male and female, and top three male and female in a range of age categories from 10 and under through 70 and over.
The event is planned to proceed rain or shine and is presented as a community running event that combines a timed 5K with fundraising for a local shelter. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
