Y2Y Ultra (Redhill to Brighton)
The event is a coast bound trail challenge from the YMCA in Redhill to the YMCA in Brighton, finishing about 200 m from the Pier. There are two distance options offered.
- 60 km Ultra
- 26.2 miles Marathon
The route follows off road trails, footpaths and bridleways through rural Sussex countryside and includes a climb over Ditchling Beacon before the descent into Brighton. The course will be fully signed and GPX files will be provided before the event.
Support is provided by a volunteer team at multiple well stocked stops along the route. The 60 km event has four support stops listed at Worth Way, Ardingly, Wivelsfield and Ditchling Beacon; the marathon has three support stops. Each entry includes a commemorative medal and a technical t shirt; the 60 km entry also specifies four support stops and the marathon entry specifies three support stops. Entry fees are listed as £55 for the 60 km Ultra and £35 for the 26.2 mile Marathon.
Participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements after the finish. Free training walks and runs are organised to help prepare, and fundraising for the organiser's Life Change Fund is optional. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
