Y2Y North Downs Trek / Run
The Y2Y North Downs Trek / Run follows the North Downs Way through Surrey countryside and finishes at YMCA East Surrey in Redhill. The event in 2027 marks its 20th year and is open to participants aged 18 and over. It offers two signed route options and downloadable GPX and Strava routes for navigation. Experienced leaders and backmarkers provide navigational support on both distances.
Transport is provided to the two different start points. The event provides well-stocked support stops en route with water, hot drinks, squash, energy drinks and a variety of snacks including crisps, energy and trail bars, cake and jelly babies. Showers, changing facilities, hot and cold drinks and cake are available at the finish. The event is organised near to cost price and staffed by volunteers.
Pricing and inclusions:
- The 26.2 miles Marathon entry includes a commemorative medal, a technical t-shirt, transport to the start and three support stops, with a bacon roll offered halfway.
- The 14 miles Half-marathon entry includes a commemorative medal, a technical t-shirt, transport to the start and two support stops.
Free training walks and runs are offered to help prepare for the challenge. Fundraising is optional; proceeds in 2027 will support the event organiser’s Life Change Fund for local young people. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
