XTERRA Portland, Hagg Lake (Gaston, Oregon)
XTERRA Portland is an off-road triathlon event held at Hagg Lake in Gaston, Oregon on August 1, 2026. The event is organized by XTERRA and forms part of the XTERRA World Tour. Races take place at Bobcat Cove with parking staged at Boat Ramp C; participants are asked to park in the grass lot at Boat Ramp C and walk to the venue.
The event offers multiple race distances:
- Full Distance Triathlon: Swim 1K, Bike 27.5K, Run 8K
- Sprint Triathlon: Swim 500M, Bike 21K, Run 5K
- Super Sprint Triathlon: Swim 200M, Bike 6K, Run 2K
The Sprint and Super Sprint distances are part of the XTERRA Youth Tour. Qualifiers at this event receive World Championship slot allocations and may choose to race in either the 2026 or 2027 XTERRA World Championship; the event lists 56 World Championship slots.
Course details note that the majority of the bike and run courses are on trails. A mountain bike is required for the bike course; gravel bikes are not permitted. Wetsuit use follows USA Triathlon rules and is allowed when water temperature criteria are met. Relays are permitted in the full and sprint distances.
