XTERRA Portland - Hagg Lake, Gaston, Oregon
XTERRA Portland is scheduled for August 1, 2026 at Bobcat Cove on Henry Hagg Lake Trail Loop in Gaston, Oregon. The event is part of the XTERRA World Tour and features multiple off road triathlon races held at Hagg Lake.
Distances offered:
- Full Distance Triathlon: Swim 1 km, Bike 27.5 km, Run 8 km
- Sprint Triathlon: Swim 500 m, Bike 21 km, Run 5 km
- Super Sprint Triathlon: Swim 200 m, Bike 6 km, Run 2 km
Course information notes that the majority of the bike and run legs are on trails. A mountain bike is required for this event; gravel bikes are not permitted. Wetsuit use follows USA Triathlon guidance and is permitted under the applicable temperature rules. Relays are allowed in the full and sprint races. The event includes course grading labels listed as Easy, Intermediate, and Difficult.
Additional event elements include youth qualification status for the sprint distances, allocation of World Championship slots with qualifiers able to choose the 2026 or 2027 championship, and activities such as a kids splash and dash, volunteer roles, and camping at Hagg Lake. Parking is managed from Boat Ramp C with an on site walk to the race venue; parking at Bobcat Cove is not allowed. Participants receive one complimentary meal ticket redeemable at the on site Birrieria Don Pepe food truck, subject to park vendor rules.
