Ralph's Run in Forest Grove, Oregon
Ralph's Run is an annual road running event hosted by the Oregon Road Runners Club that returns to a tradition of changing the long distance each year. For 2027 the long distance is 20.27K. The event also includes a 10K run/walk, a 5K run/walk and a free kids' run. Distances vary each year and the event previously used year-based distances and a half marathon format in earlier years.
All courses start and finish at Tom McCall Upper Elementary School (1341 Pacific Ave) in Forest Grove and use back roads through wine country. The 20.27K and 10K share the first three miles, separate, then rejoin for the final 1.5 miles. The 5K is an out-and-back over the final 1.5 miles of the 10K course and includes a notable hill by the cemetery. These are not closed courses; participants must be cautious of traffic and follow the Rules of the Road, keeping left when running against traffic.
Registration fees for 2027 are listed by distance: the long distance, the 10K, the 5K, and the free kids' 1/4 mile. A long sleeve tech shirt is available for a fee to preregistered participants, and custom socks are provided for the first 300 finishers in the main races. Packet pickup is available the day before and on race day with dynamic bib assignment; bibs may be picked up for others and no ID is required.
