Event overview
The XTERRA North American Championship takes place May 15-17, 2026 in Pelham, AL at Oak Mountain State Park. The three-day festival is a stop on the XTERRA World Tour and the XTERRA World Cup series. The weekend includes the XTERRA North American Championship, the Youth North American Championship (ages 14–19), and the 2026 Youth & Junior Cross National Championship. The full-distance amateur field offers 58 qualifying spots to the XTERRA World Championship. All multi-sport athletes must have a USA Triathlon license; a one-event Bronze Membership is available for single-race coverage. The weekend also includes an XTERRA festival with live music, food trucks, beer gardens, kids races, and volunteer roles that provide an event shirt and food.
