XMiles Preston Half Marathon & 10k 2026
The inaugural XMiles Preston Half Marathon & 10k is scheduled for 27 September 2026 in Preston, with event headquarters at Winckley Square. The courses start and finish in Winckley Square and pass notable local landmarks including Fishergate, Avenham and Miller Parks, the River Ribble, Walton Bridge, the Old Tram Road and Nature Reserve, and Penwortham Old Bridge.
The half marathon comprises two laps of the described route while the 10k is one lap. Both courses hold UKA licences and the distances are officially measured and certified.
Entry categories include a half marathon (minimum age 17 on race day) and a 10k (minimum age 15 on race day). Entry fees differ for UKA-affiliated and non-affiliated participants. Included with entry are a custom-designed finisher’s medal, feed stations on route, electronic timing, drinks at the finish, and event photographs available to download from the official photographer.
Entries close either when the event is full or on the Friday prior to race day. Timing and event administration are managed by Epic Events and Results Base handles registration for the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
