About the race
XMiles Preston Half Marathon & 10K is an inaugural road race held in Preston on 27 September 2026. It is the final event in the XMiles North West Road Run Series and is based at Winckley Square in the city centre. The event uses city streets, parkland and riverside paths, and the course passes through Fishergate, Avenham and Miller Parks, along the River Ribble, Walton Bridge, sections of the Old Tram Road, and Penwortham Old Bridge. The route is fully UKA licensed and accurately measured.
The 10K completes one lap of the course and the Half Marathon completes two laps. Organisers note that Half Marathon runners must pass the halfway point and begin the second lap before roads are due to reopen. Entries include aid stations, music and atmosphere, course support, online results, a custom finishers medal, electronic timing, a fully signed route, and free photos and video. Entry prices listed are Half Marathon £39 and UKA members £37, and 10K £32 and UKA members £30.
