About the race
The 9th edition of XC des Boisés is scheduled for September 26, 2026 in Notre-Dame-des-Prairies, near Joliette. The event is held on forest trails described as rapid with little elevation change.

All profits are donated to the Fondation Charles-Bruneau to support children with cancer. The event is organized by the non profit Azimut XC in collaboration with the City of Notre-Dame-des-Prairies and is sanctioned by the Fédération Québécoise d’Athlétisme.
Team entries are available for groups of 4 to 8 runners. All team members run at the same time and choose a single distance. Team ranking is based on the four best times and individual rankings are also published. A team fundraising option is offered that links running and fundraising; teams must contact the organiser to set up a fundraising page and obtain a promo code.
Registration notes include a discount available until May 31, 2026, a 100% polyester race shirt included for registrations made by August 27, a post-race snack included, and no registrations accepted on the day of the event; registration closes on September 25, 2026.
Medals are awarded across age and category divisions for the 10 km, 5 km and 2 km, and all 2 km finishers receive a participation ribbon. Parking is on surrounding streets with volunteers on site, carpooling is encouraged, only chemical toilets are available, and a race bib is required. Bib pickup is at 230 Rang Ste-Julie on the day before and the day of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
