XC des Boisés 2026
XC des Boisés returns for its 9th edition on 26 September 2026 in Notre-Dame-des-Prairies, near Joliette. The event features cross country races on forest trails and combines group participation with competitive results.

The course is described as fast and without significant elevation change, and the event has a family friendly and festive atmosphere. It is sanctioned by the Fédération Québécoise d'Athlétisme and organized by the non profit Azimut XC in collaboration with the Town of Notre-Dame-des-Prairies. All profits are donated to the Fondation Charles-Bruneau to support children with cancer.
A team challenge is available for groups of 4 to 8 runners. Each team selects one distance, team ranking is based on the four best times, and individual rankings are also provided. A team fundraising option uses a dedicated platform and requires coordination with the organizers to create a fundraising page and obtain a promo code.
Practical details: an early registration discount runs until 31 May 2026, a race shirt is included for registrations completed before the late August deadline, there is no on site registration and entries close on 25 September 2026. Medals and participation ribbons are planned according to distance and age categories. The event base is at 230 Rang Ste-Julie, Notre-Dame-des-Prairies. Street parking is available with volunteer assistance, carpooling is encouraged, only chemical toilets are provided and bibs are mandatory.
