About the race
XC des Boisés 2026 is the ninth edition of a cross-country event held in Notre-Dame-des-Prairies, near Joliette, on 26 September 2026. The races take place on forest trails described as fast and without major elevation changes.

The event is organized by the OBNL Azimut XC in collaboration with the City of Notre-Dame-des-Prairies and is sanctioned by the Fédération Québécoise d’Athlétisme du Québec. All profits are donated to the Fondation Charles-Bruneau to support children with cancer.
Registration details include a discount period until 31 May 2026, a T-shirt included for registrations made by 25 August, and a post-race snack for participants. There is no registration on the day of the event; registrations close on 25 September 2026.
Team challenges are available for 4 to 8 runners per team; teams choose one distance, all members run together, and team ranking is based on the four best times. Individual rankings are also provided. Medal categories are defined by distance and age groups, and a participation ribbon is given to all 2 km finishers.
Event services include street parking with volunteer direction, encouraged carpooling, chemical toilets only, and mandatory bibs. Bib pickup is available at 230 Rang Ste-Julie, Notre-Dame-des-Prairies on the day before and the day of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
