Event overview

The Wyoming Range 100 is a supported, point-to-point trail ultra run held in the Wyoming Range within Bridger-Teton National Forest. The event lists the course distance as 108 miles with a 48-hour overall cutoff. It is described as a qualifier for the Hardock 100. Stewardship partners include Friends of the Bridger-Teton and City Kids Wilderness Project.

Course and terrain

The course follows long sections of the Wyoming Range National Recreation Trail and runs through high country with an average elevation near 8,500 feet and a listed maximum elevation of 11,378 feet at Wyoming Peak. Total elevation gain is about 24,000 feet. The route includes singletrack, rough and disappearing trail, and stretches where conditions can include snow, lightning, and white-out situations.

Logistics and safety

Aid stations are spaced roughly every ten miles. The race notes that participants will pass through grizzly country and that some aid stations are separated by long sections without services. The organizer publishes an event manual, course map, elevation profile, arrival-time estimates for aid stations, and a course flyover for planning and navigation. The event operates under a special use permit through the U.S. Forest Service. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
