WSE Titan UP 5K
The event includes an in-person 5K run through residential streets in Goldsboro, North Carolina, with start and finish at Wayne School of Engineering, 801 N. Lionel St., Goldsboro, NC 27530. The course is mostly flat with a few small hills. The event is an annual fundraiser organized by the WSE PTO to purchase classroom materials and to support student scholastic and athletic activities.
A virtual 5K option is available; participants may run or walk anytime from May 1 to May 8, 2027. Registration opens June 5, 2026. Registration must be completed by April 1, 2027 to receive a race t-shirt. The early registration fee for the 5K is listed as $25 with a race t-shirt included if registered by April 1, 2027. A late registration fee of $35 applies for in-person 5K entries after April 1 and does not include a t-shirt.
Awards are offered for the in-person 5K only. Awards include Top Overall Male and Female and Top 3 Male and Female in the following age groups: under 9, 10 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over.
