WSE Titan UP 5K : event overview
The WSE Titan UP 5K is scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2026. The event includes a 5K, a Titan Up Fun Run, and a Virtual 5K. The 5K is an annual fundraiser organized by the WSE PTO to purchase classroom materials and to support student scholastic and athletic activities. Event results are timed by Run The East, LLC.
Location, course and awards
The race starts and finishes at Wayne School of Engineering, 801 North Lionel Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530. The 5K route runs through residential streets in Goldsboro and is described as mostly flat with a few small hills. Awards for the 5K only include Top Overall Male and Female and Top 3 Male and Female in these age groups: under 9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

Tracking and virtual results
RaceJoy is provided for tracking and includes GPS progress alerts, live GPS tracking, and a send-a-cheer feature. For virtual events, RaceJoy supports submitting virtual results by entering the race-assigned bib number. To use RaceJoy, participants must carry a phone and activate tracking.
